The USAS-12 is unlocked at level 26 in multiplayer. It is the only fully automatic shotgun in the series, but it has a low full auto cycle. The gun is preferred with extended mags, due the shortage of shells when in fully automatic mode.
Another interresting combination is the USAS with Extended Clip and over-gassed action. Since the hipfire is accurate, the USAS can kill enemies extremely fast in close quarters with both attachements.
It is very devastating in close quarters and able to dispatch foes in succession rather quickly. However, it does evaporate to lower damage in a short distance. Using the Long Barrel or Compensator can mitigate this somewhat, although it still will continue to be inferior. It is best used for corner engagements, able to rapidly put down foes in surprise before they have ample reaction time.
The USAS-12 is the only shotgun that can utilize Dual Mags.
