The MG36 is a light machine gun seen in Warzone: Iron Wolf.

Warzone: Iron Wolf

"The MG36 has raw firepower, being able to eliminate enemies with its heavy damage. Fire rate is kept up on the higher echelons which can cause recoil to kick upwards. Being at a stationary position is advised, as moving with this weapon can be quite slow."
―In-game description

The MG36 only appears in multiplayer. It utilizes a Beta C-Mag instead of its larger drum from the Modern Warfare 3 version.

The MG36 is the last LMG to be unlocked at level 50. Like all the LMGs, it has a slower ADS and movement speed. The reload is only a couple of seconds longer than an assault rifles, making it ideal for an LMG powered weapon to be battle-ready much faster than its belt-fed counterparts. Despite its seemingly heavy recoil, it resets near perfectly after every shot, a trait that is shared with the Ultimax 100 and MG4. Fully automatic fire is not recommended unless at a close or medium range to an opponent that is not fast moving. Recoil tends to still slowly kick the sights upwards. Crouching or going prone can nearly neutralize any recoil when firing on automatic, making it extremely effective even at long range.

The MG36's hipfire spread is relatively low and is the best LMG to hipfire. Like all other machine guns except for the LSAT and Ultimax 100, it only gains a 25% bonus from Extended Clip, but it is still useful nonetheless. If one does find the iron sights to be obstructive, it may be worth it to add an optical attachment like the Reflex Sight or ACOG scope as the weapon will usually perform up to expectations quite well even when unmodified.
