Call of Duty: Resurgence is an award-winning first-person action game and was released in 2025. This game has no means of support for battle royale modes and the develop has no intention adding a battle royale mode - the closest thing to a battle royale mode that players will get is the Free-for-All mode.
Campaign[]
The game is set in 2037 as a Neo-Pagan Danish Republican movement referred to as the "Midgardians" start a revolution in Denmark in order to resurrect Danelaw and start a new era of modern vikings. The Midgardians began the Danish Civil War with the bombing of Amalienborg and most of the surviving members of the Royal family has taken as hostages while the reigning monarch; King Frederick X and his heir managed to escape and are given refuge in an undisclosed location in the United Kingdom.
NATO was quick to label the Midgardians as a terrorist organisation for the attack as many sympathisers across the world offer to join the cause. Both Australia and the United States initially reject the United Kingdom's call to action against the Midgardians as the Americans believed that the Midgardians were a substantial threat and the Australians weren't willing to risk the lives of their soldiers for a group that hasn't really done much other than bomb their own country.
However, that all changed in December 25th, when several members of the Midgardians attacked the coastal suburb Kewarra Beach as part of their "Reclaim Yule" mission as the Midgardians believed that Christmas is an affront to Yuletide especially since Christmas was originally a pagan holiday. The attack also occurred at the time of joint military execrise program was taking place as a result of a deal America and Australia made in order to strengthen their ties.
