The 4 Gauge Shotgun is a new shotgun featured in Warzone: Iron Wolf.

Warzone: Iron Wolf[]

"The 4 Gauge Shotgun has five semi-automatic capsules of death ready to be dealt at close range. Best used in engagements against single enemies, the heavy recoil will make it difficult to fire upon groups."
―In-game description

The 4 Gauge Shotgun appears in all three gamemodes, designated as the 4 Gauge. It appears a similar to the M26 MASS.

Campaign[]

The 4 Gauge Shotgun appears frequently in Typhoon use. It is able to be used in Memories, Act of Valor and The Last Predator.

Multiplayer[]

The 4 Gauge is unlocked at level 18. True to its name, it fires a high powered 4 gauge shell. The shots have a wide spread and the highest damage of the shotgun class. This is compensated by a very short range and a low firecap, much lower than its campaign counterpart. In addition, recoil is very high, but predictable. It kicks upwards to the right and often has the tendency to not reset for the next shot. It is best used to engage single enemies as taking on groups will often prove futile. Still it is compared a lot to the M1014, where it is superior in damage and range. However, the latter has better handling, which makes it more forgiving.

Useful attachments include the Grip, which will somwhat reduce recoil, Laser Sight which can increase the hip-fire performance and the Long Barrel that can extend its lethal range.

Weapon Attachments[]

  • Laser Sight
  • Silencer
  • Long Barrel
  • Reflex Sight
  • Extended Clip
  • Grip
  • Quickdraw Grip

Phantoms[]

The 4 Gauge Shotgun appears off the wall for 1400 points or from the Mystery Box costing 950 points. It is one of the most powerful non upgraded weapons available. It reloads fairly fast, quicker than its other shotguns and can be held on far after most other weapons begin to lose their killing power. Magazine size of 5 rounds with 30 in reserve.

When it is Pack-a-Punched, it becomes the Version 2.6 coming with quicker handling traits, increased magazine size and damage and is equipped with a grip and Reflex Sight. the upgraded shotgun gets 8 rounds per magazine and 56 spare.

Cybershock[]

"The 4 Gauge shotgun has extremely high stopping power, ready to burst right through the enemies' armor. The low costs also make the weapon useful in a complete load out, ready to fitful multiple roles in the field."
―In-game description.

The 4 Gauge shotgun returns in another DECA game, namely Cybershock. It is renamed as the 4G Shotgun and is one of the cheaper primary weapons in the game.

Though it has the same name as it's Iron Wolf's counterpart, it has different features. That's probaply due the fact it is a general shotgun, rather than a specialized version due only two appearing shotguns in Cybershock.

It has 6 bullets with each 8 pellets in a magazine, which can be inserted without having to put each little bullet in the shotgun. It also has slightly higher damage and higher rate of fire, but that is due the different armor perks to balance the weapons.

Trivia[]

  • In the Iron Wolf version the words "Beech Defense" are embroidered on the right side of the receiver.
